Warehouse Technician & Parts Runner

Are you detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable balancing hands-on warehouse work with time behind the wheel? We're looking for a dedicated Warehouse Technician & Parts Runner to join our Operations team at Cobalt Power Systems. In this role, you'll be a critical link between our warehouse and job sites, ensuring the right parts and materials get where they need to be, when they need to be there.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Technician & Parts Runner is responsible for managing inventory, organizing warehouse stock, and transporting parts and materials between the warehouse and field locations. This role requires strong organizational skills, working knowledge of warehouse inventory systems, and familiarity with parts and fittings used in photovoltaic (PV) systems. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and comfortable driving as part of daily responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and log incoming inventory using the warehouse inventory management system
• Organize and maintain accurate stock levels of parts, fittings, and materials used in PV system installations
• Pull and prepare parts orders for field crews based on daily job requirements
• Transport parts, tools, and materials safely between the warehouse and active job sites using a company vehicle
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and communicate delivery status to warehouse and field supervisors
• Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies in inventory records
• Inspect vehicles before and after use to ensure safe operating condition and report maintenance needs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with safety standards

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle for work-related deliveries in California
• Experience working in a warehouse, inventory, or logistics environment
• Basic familiarity with warehouse inventory management systems
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs regularly
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while completing multiple deliveries

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with parts and fittings used in PV (photovoltaic) or solar systems
• Experience with barcode scanning or digital inventory tracking tools
• Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and safety inspections
• Prior experience in a parts runner, driver, or warehouse associate role

Technical Skills

• Warehouse inventory management software
• Basic understanding of PV system components, parts, and fittings
• Inventory tracking and cycle counting procedures
• Safe vehicle operation and basic route planning
• Proficiency with handheld scanners or inventory tracking devices (a plus)
