The Warehouse Technician supports daily warehouse operations through shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment activities. This role helps ensure materials and equipment are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Basic Employee Responsibilities

• Carrying out other tasks from time to time as assigned by a supervisor or request for assistance as needed.
• Demonstrating teamwork, communication, and a positive attitude in daily warehouse tasks.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard free warehouse environment.
• Reporting safety concerns, damaged goods, equipment issues, or near misses immediately.
• Ensuring responsible and safe use of forklifts, pallet jacks, tools, and handling equipment.
• Protecting the confidentiality of company inventory information and documentation.
• Identifying opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and workflow.
• Participating in required HSQE, forklift, and job specific training.
Position Specific Responsibilities
• Assist with receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials, equipment, and shipments.
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders and internal material requests.
• Maintain warehouse inventory by tracking, organizing, and rotating stock.
• Complete cycle counts, physical counts, and inventory adjustments as directed.
• Load and unload trucks safely using forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and documentation of all materials and equipment.
• Assist in staging outgoing shipments and preparing shipping documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse aisles, racks, bins, and work areas.
• Report inventory discrepancies, damages, or missing items to the Warehouse Manager.
• Support warehouse equipment care including basic maintenance and daily inspections.
• Help coordinate logistics with drivers, carriers, and other Q2 ALS locations.
• Assist with packaging, crating, or preparing materials for transport as needed.
• Follow all HSQE rules, PPE requirements, and safe lifting practices.

Required Minimum Qualifications
• Experience with inventory systems or ERP software (an asset).
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and communicate clearly.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• 1–2 years of warehouse, material handling, or logistics experience (preferred).

Physical Demands
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and move throughout warehouse areas for extended periods.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and move items up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying warehouse temperature conditions (hot, cold, dusty).
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment and tools safely.
