Purpose Statement

Performs any and all duties required to manage site security, site cleanliness, screen visitors, handle deliveries, and assist in warehouse and inventory management along with 5S standards.

Job responsibilities and tasks

  • Receive and issue parts from the Maintenance/ Production team daily.
  • Prepare miscellaneous shipments for returned goods.
  • Receive, uncrate, and store daily stock shipments in a safe orderly location.
  • Follow current cycle count schedul & report all discrepancies (checking each inventory item is a complete unit).
  • Organize parts in appropriate locations and properly document locations.
  • Operate computer and maintenance software (SAP).
  • Assist in kitting/stagging and preparing job plans for maintenance personnel.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance Shop Supplies.
  • Maintain Maintenance Vehicles (Inspection’s, repairs, fuel, and gas cans.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Coordinate with Production Team to properly manage Foundry inventory of raw materials, sand cups, Buy Back.

Work with Maintenance and Production Team to receive and ship goods and Area Supervisors to support Warehouse function and Inventory.

  • Keep Warehouse & Outside facilitites clean and orderly in accordance with 5S standards
  • Coordinate waste stream container pickups as needed.
  • Winter: Clean / move snow and spread salt at Warehouse access areas.

Education, professional experience and qualification preferred/required

  • Must be familiar with shipping and receiving functions
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Must be able to communicate with all levels of staff, work independently or as a team
  • Comply with all Company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
  • Maintain work area in accordance with 5S requirements
  • Read and comprehend written and verbal instructions
  • Requires Valid PA Driver's License
  • Operate fork trucks, golf cart, and other mobile equipment to transport material within and between departments & facilities.
  • Communicate effectively and work independently or as a team member
  • Accurately complete required documentation and reports

Physical and Mental Qualifications

Requires ability to work in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, dust, dirt, fumes, welding machines, heavy duty magnets and manual/remote controlled devices using radio signals. Physical conditions for positions: Sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb, grasp, ascend/descend stairs and ladders, maneuver within tight spaces, routinely lift up to 50 lbs. Must have visual acuity, excellent mobility, good hearing, manual dexterity, good balance, ability to endure long hours, excellent problem-solving skills, and wear required personal protective equipment. All tasks performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
