Warehouse Team Leader

Location: Moorebank Warehouse

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Team Leader to join our operations team at Moorebank. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and supporting a high-performing team within a fast-paced distribution environment.

The successful candidate will lead by example, providing guidance and support to warehouse employees while ensuring all tasks are completed safely, accurately, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and support warehouse team members to achieve daily operational targets.
  • Monitor workflow and allocate resources to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control standards and operational procedures.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and promote safe work practices at all times.
  • Train, coach and develop team members to improve performance and capability.
  • Assist with receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch activities as required.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and assist in resolving discrepancies.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operational outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practice solutions.
  • Complete administrative and reporting requirements accurately and within required timeframes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution or logistics environment.
  • Proven experience leading or supervising a team.
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate others.
  • Sound working knowledge of warehouse and distribution centre operations.
  • Strong understanding of quality control standards and operational compliance.
  • Ability to exercise discretion, make decisions and solve problems within the scope of the role.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Current forklift licence (desirable).
