Warehouse Team Leader

From our warehouse in Roosendaal, we make sure our outdoor furniture gets to the right place at the right time. As a Warehouse Team Leader, you play an important role in making this happen. Together with the Working Foremen, you are responsible for the day-to-day management of the warehouse and know exactly what is needed to ensure people and processes work together effectively.

What will you be doing?

As a Warehouse Team Leader, you are responsible for ensuring that the daily operations within your department run smoothly. You create structure, monitor planning and ensure that safety, quality and productivity remain at the required level.

You manage the Working Foremen and make sure employees are assigned to the right tasks. Do you see an opportunity to work smarter or more efficiently? You don't wait around: you suggest improvements and work with the team to put them into practice. You report directly to the Warehouse Manager.

Your responsibilities include:

• Managing, coaching and motivating the Working Foremen and employees within your department.
• Planning and coordinating daily activities and monitoring progress.
• Ensuring the efficient deployment of employees, equipment and resources.
• Monitoring an accurate and efficient flow of goods while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.
• Ensuring compliance with working procedures, working hours, break times and safety regulations.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
• Identifying bottlenecks and providing input to improve processes and working methods.
• Conducting performance, progress and absence-related meetings with employees and following up on absence cases.
• Ensuring sufficient supervision and support are available throughout daily operations.
• Coordinating daily with other Team Leaders, Working Foremen, the Logistics Planner and the Warehouse Manager.
• Acting as a point of contact for other departments within the organisation.

What are you bringing?

You are an enthusiastic and responsible Team Leader who knows how to motivate people in a positive way. You maintain a clear overview, are confident in making decisions and know how to set the right priorities, even during busy periods.

With your hands-on mentality, you see what needs to be done and work together with your team to get the job done.

In Addition:

• You have at least MBO+ level working and thinking skills, preferably with a background in logistics or a related field.
• Do you already have experience in logistics and managing employees? Great! Are you still developing your career or ready to take the next step? We also warmly encourage you to apply. • You have strong communication and leadership skills.
• You have a good command of the English language. Knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
• You are resilient under pressure, decisive and able to adapt quickly.
• You have a strong focus on planning, safety, quality and productivity.
• You are flexible when it comes to working hours. During peak season, from mid-March through begin September, you work according to a rotating schedule with early shifts (06:00–14:30), day shifts (08:00–16:30) and late shifts (14:30–23:00). In coordination with your fellow Team Leaders, you will occasionally work on Saturdays.
