PermanentThis role will be based from our National Distribution Centre based in Cannock.
In this role you will be responsible for carrying out the safe and accurate physical & systemic receiving, storage, picking, counting, packing and distribution of stock for Finning UK. Accountability/ownership of the customer facing Parts Counter to ensure the clients customers receive their orders on time and in full. Responsible for assisting the operation in realising and achieving all KPI’s/ SLA’s.

Major Job Functions:

Safety Leadership – 20%

Always ensure compliance with health and safety and statutory inspections, liaising with and working very closely with the compliance team to deliver 100% adherence through direct and indirect reports.

People Leadership – 20%

To ensure that personnel are motivated and have the relevant skills, knowledge, and attitude to contribute effectively to maximize productivity and profit.

To always ensure a pro-active approach to cost and service performance improvement.

Establish and maintain a good teamwork environment.

Process Leadership – 60%

To ensure the efficient and effective achievement of all contract targets and key performance indicators.

Prepares daily / weekly/monthly Stock Control Performance Reports.

Maintains and monitors all filing of documentation in line with Company procedures.

Achieve (and exceed where possible) contractual stock variance target. Complete PI programme on an annual basis

Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all modules, functions, inputs, outputs, timings and uses related to the system applications, to advise the business, assist with issue resolution and provide training as required.

To communicate any developments or potential problems relevant personnel as soon as possible and to implement or suggest workable solutions.

Use warehouse management system to monitor and manage processes and procedures within department and to generate relevant information.

Generate and present data on inventory accuracy, obsolescence etc. against contractual targets and effect on EBITDA resulting from any downward trends

  • High proficiency in business applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint) and strong experience with Supply Chain and customer support software
  • Accountability – take ownership and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Communication – develop relationships with key contacts within the Finning group.

Knowledge:

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding in end-to-end supply chain management, distribution, and Logistics.
  • Warehousing best practices and Continuous Improvement Methodologies
  • Knowledge of IT Business Systems to support Supply Chain
  • Understanding of Site Classification and audit requirements
  • Knowledge of CAT products and systems (desirable)

Accountability:

  • Stock Inventory
  • Manage and control perpetual inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks
  • Be responsible for managing and running planned stock takes.
  • Investigate, correct and report on stock discrepancies and adjust any required data.
  • Implementation of control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved.

Education & Experience:

  • Vocational Training in stock control
  • Management Training
  • Formal Audit Training
  • Experience of working with a WMS
  • Experience of implementations
  • Stock experience within Logistics industry
  • Previous experience of working in a warehouse environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of driving best practice for stock management.
