What Will You Enjoy Doing

Main Responsibilities:

  • Following shipment procedures
    • Ensures all shipment procedures are followed in accordance to customer requirements
    • Ensures all Forklift Operators are trained in procedures and follow them
  • Delegation and Coordination
    • Ensures all Forklift Operators know their work responsibilities
  • Proper Training of new hires
    • Areas of inventory knowledge
    • Inventory locations
    • Dock and Fork Lift/Clamp Truck Operations
    • Safety Protocols and golden rules
    • Warehouse policies and procedures
  • Communication between other Warehouse Team Leads
    • Provides written and verbal communication to other team leads to provide coordinated efforts for highest department efficiency
  • Preparing finished product to ship to customer
    • Adheres to performance standards in quality and quantity (Checking for damages as well as count)
    • Prints Bills of Lading
  • Ensures good housekeeping within the warehouse
  • Ensures 5s in all warehouse areas
  • Ensures staffing availability and escalates to warehouse supervisor
  • Others as needed and described in standard work

Performance Metrics:

  • Following procedures and policies.
  • 0 Accidents /Incidents.
  • Safety observations reported.
  • Warehouse Inspection check lists
  • Safety Forklift checklist accuracy and escalations for repairs.
  • Staffing coverage and work distribution.
  • Correct Shipment (On Time and In Full).

What Makes You Great

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in general warehousing, manufacturing or distribution
  • Min 2 years of experience as Forklift Operator preferred
  • Certified Forklift Operator
  • Computer skills
  • Lead skills
  • Safety awareness and quality consciousness
