Warehouse Supervisor
Role purpose
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. This role involves managing staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, enforcing safety procedures, and optimizing workflows to support organizational goals. The Warehouse Supervisor serves as a key link between warehouse staff, management, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfilment.
The key duties and responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve productivity, accuracy, and safety goals.
- Coordinate and monitor daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, audits, and system updates.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse efficiency.
- Oversee equipment use, maintenance, and inspections (e.g., forklifts).
- Prepare and analyse reports on warehouse performance, productivity, and inventory.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and customer service teams to resolve order or supply chain issues.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to optimize warehouse operations.
- Schedule shifts, assign tasks, and manage labour to meet workload demands.

- On time clearing/processing of all demands for allocated area

- Assertiveness with supervised staff
Core competencies, knowledge, and experience
- 1+ years’ experience in similar role
- MQF Level 2/3 - Must have a minimum of three ‘O’ Level passes in English and Maths, depending on their role OR MQF level certificate @ level 2.
- Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques
- Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency
- Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data
- Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
- Strong organisational and time management skills
