Included are process parameters like the reel winding and slitting tolerances. Material and/or printing defects can be detected by automatic camera inspection systems and are easily eliminated by the operators.

Qualifications

Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for the daily work assignments and supervision of the department employees, coordinating logistical processes, ensuring the quality of goods, and preparing relevant documentation.

Manager Responsibilities:

  • Direct Reports: 4-7 employees
  • Indirect Reports: None
  • Effectively leading team to meet business goals
  • Creating and managing team schedules
  • Managing workflow of the department and delegating tasks
  • Training of team members to ensure job duties are performed efficiently and effectively
  • Setting goals for workers and ensuring compliance with the company goals and objectives
  • Evaluating performance and providing feedback on an ongoing basis
  • Resolving employee issues and disputes
  • Enforcing compliance with company policies

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Managing warehouse staff and daily activities.
  • Managing, evaluating and reporting on warehouse productivity.
  • Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Ordering supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
  • Checking orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
  • Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.
  • Keep records of shipments tracking, cost and delivery receipts.
  • Work with vendors to secure economical transportation for goods to national and international customers.
  • Picking and checking customer orders before shipment.
  • Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds.
  • Coordinating and maintaining fleets and equipment.
  • Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers.
  • Receive product and distribute or label and store after entering into the inventory system.
  • Allocate and issue material to departments.
  • Tracking and recording of inventory.
  • Cleaning and organizing of the warehouse.
  • Properly complete all documentation required on the computer and by hand to track the job.
  • Properly use computer to enter/retrieve job specific information and complete training documents.
  • Manages various ad-hoc projects as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Must have valid driver license
  • Must be able to be trained and certified to operate all company vehicles including fork trucks, order pickers, company pickup and box truck, etc.
  • Knowledge of Corporate Policies and Procedures in a Manufacturing environment
  • Advanced knowledge in the application of sales and use tax rules
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly skilled in math, accounting, and financial processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Skilled in time management and prioritization
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Ability to make independent decisions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and other systems as required

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years or more experience in warehouse, logistics, supply chain or similar.
  • 2 years or more experience in previous leadership roles (preferred).

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms above and below shoulder level
  • Regularly stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Regularly communicate in some manner either by speech/hearing or through written communication.
  • Regularly use of vision abilities including close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly work around moving machinery and heavy equipment.
  • Frequently required to push/pull.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Frequently exposed to high-speed moving mechanical parts.
  • Frequently exposed to UV, strobing or flashing light.
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes, dust or airborne particles.
  • Regularly exposed to moderate noise level in the work environment.
