Warehouse Supervisor
Pay: $24.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: On-site
US Traffic Control, Inc. is a manufacturing, retail, and rental provider of work zone safety equipment. We are seeking a dependable, organized, and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse and shop operations.
This position will supervise employees, manage inventory and receive, coordinate equipment and vehicle maintenance, oversee shipping and distribution, and assist with traffic sign fabrication and repair. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can prioritize work, maintain a safe and organized facility, and work effectively in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise, train, and coordinate daily warehouse and shop activities.
• Assign work, establish priorities, communicate deadlines, and monitor completion.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse with designated areas for inventory, equipment, and tools.
• Oversee receiving and verify incoming materials against packing slips and orders.
• Maintain inventory levels, conduct physical counts, and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Coordinate ordering of materials and supplies with management.
• Inspect and maintain company trucks, trailers, tools, and equipment.
• Coordinate repairs and maintain required inspection and maintenance records.
• Ensure trucks are properly loaded, secured, and equipped with required safety equipment.
• Maintain warehouse, shop, equipment, and vehicle security.
• Enforce company safety policies and conduct regular safety/tool talks.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of ladders, welding tanks, propane tanks, and other equipment.
• Assist with fabrication and repair of standard and custom traffic signs.
• Operate and maintain Graphtec vinyl plotters/cutters.
• Weed, tape, and apply vinyl graphics to plywood, coroplast, aluminum, and other surfaces.
• Ensure signs comply with applicable MUTCD and New York State standards.
• Operate panel saws and other hand tools and perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Ensure materials, equipment, and finished products are properly stored, packaged, and prepared for delivery or pickup.
Qualifications
• Previous warehouse, manufacturing, construction, sign fabrication, or related experience preferred.
• Supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read work orders and schematic drawings.
• Experience with Graphtec plotters preferred.
• Flexi Sign Software experience is a plus; training is available.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, machinery, and warehouse equipment.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team.
Physical Requirements
This is a hands-on position requiring standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading materials and equipment. Work may be performed indoors and outdoors.
