The Opportunity

Metalcorp is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join the teambased in Tamworth Metalcorp is a steel and aluminium distributor also specialising in rural products. It is the rural brand for the land with branches in regional locations and is trusted by customers for the quality of its products and the service of its people. The tailored product range includes specialised livestock handling equipment, building materials, structural and tubular steel, fencing, roofing, aluminium and more. This is a full-time Monday to Friday role working across operational hours from 7:00am to 5:00pm.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee the day-to-day operation of a busy warehouse and yard while leading a team to deliver safe, efficient and reliable outcomes for customers. You'll be responsible for keeping operations running smoothly, managing stock and assets, coordinating dispatch and scheduling activities, supporting your team and ensuring safety remains at the centre of everything you do.

What Will You Do?

As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will lead from the front, supporting the team with day-to-day operational activities when required. You’ll also:

  • lead and supervise warehouse and yard operations to ensure products are received, stored and dispatched safely and efficiently
  • coordinate dispatch and scheduling activities to meet customer expectations and delivery commitments
  • oversee stock, assets and operational resources to ensure the site operates effectively and cost efficiently
  • build a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with workplace health, safety and environmental requirements
  • monitor operational performance, customer outcomes and key performance indicators, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
  • support, coach and develop team members while creating an accountable and collaborative team environment
  • work closely with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders to maintain service standards and operational performance

More About You

You’re a practical, resilient leader who understands what it takes to run a busy operation and keep people, equipment and processes moving safely and efficiently. You will bring:

  • experience leading people in a warehouse, logistics, transport, distribution or operational environment or similar
  • proven experience managing a busy operation with competing priorities and time pressures
  • experience overseeing dispatch, scheduling and customer commitments
  • experience managing stock, assets and operational performance
  • strong customer service focus and ability to build positive working relationships
  • ability to monitor and improve KPIs, productivity and operational outcomes
  • commitment to creating a safe workplace and leading safe work practices
