Agropur is looking for an Operations Supervisor – Production & Warehouse day shift to support both production and the cooler warehouse at is Victoria plant. This hands‑on role is ideal for leaders experienced in unionized environments who want to grow within a major North American dairy cooperative.

  • Salary range 004: $76, 700 to $95,900 (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.)

How you will contribute to collective success:

  • Ensure compliance of health and safety regulations, and the ability to implement programs to improve safety culture.

  • Responsible for employee relations including work direction of employees, hiring, training, performance reviews, administering policies and procedures, and disciplinary action.

  • Provide leadership, direction and coaching to the Production and Cooler Warehouse team.

  • Promote and enhance a positive employee relation atmosphere including efforts to continuously improve teamwork and establish high levels of employee involvement.

  • Ensures consistent application of best practices towards product evaluation, food safety and quality to support and maintain Agropur’s quality standards.

  • Supports the operation of the HACCP team to ensure that the facility and documentation are suitable for third party/customer audits to maintain the SQF/ HACCP status at the plant.

  • Monitor and ensure efficiency of plant equipment and resources and ensure production requirements are met on time.

  • Responsible for achieving department KPI’s and labour costs by measuring and improving productivity and processes.

  • Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.

  • Result driven, bottom-line orientated, strives to exceed goals, and motivates self and others to achieve positive outcomes.

  • Demonstrate ability to drive organizational change through strong interpersonal and communication skills and formal problem-solving techniques.

The type of team player who fits with the team:

  • College diploma or university degree in a related field or other relevant training.

  • 3-5 years experience supervisory experience in a unionized environment.

  • Experience in the food industry is considered an asset.

  • Mastery of Lean principles is considered an asset.

  • Available for other shifts as occasional replacements
