Job Description

Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Department: Operations

Status: Non-Exempt

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor leads a crew and should be considered a generalist for all facets of the Branch. This will include working in and alongside management to improve current process in all departments. Those in this role are considered cross-trained subject matter experts in multiple areas in Operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a floater who is empowered to fill gaps and resolve issues to ensure the best possible internal customer service.
  • Responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product.
  • Including: functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc.
  • Applies knowledge and company policies to complete a variety of tasks.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility.
  • Daily inventory control including cycle counts, research, reporting, and adjustments.
  • Under direction of the department Supervisor, or other management to ensure a specific level of proficiency in a respective area.
  • Work with management to provide any necessary training for employees.
  • Must be safety/security conscious, adhere to the guidelines in the Safety Manual, and report any accidents or incidents immediately.
  • Be knowledgeable about and follow company policy and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Valid state driver license with clean driving record.
  • Experienced and skilled warehouse workers with experience in order selection, loading, staging experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Flexible work schedule (which may include long hours) and regular attendance is necessary with possibility for mandatory overtime.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Desire to succeed in a high growth, fast-paced retail environment.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, or carry; reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance or stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Frequently required to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Constant use of hand truck to lift, move and place deliveries.
  • Must be able to safely tolerate heat or other inclement weather.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material.
  • Apply sound reasoning and logic performing daily tasks.
  • The employee is required to be able to safely operate a forklift, pallet jack and/or wire-cutting machine.
