As a Facility Warehouse Supervisor, you are responsible for coordinating and overseeing all activities within your assigned warehouse area. You drive a strong focus on safety, cost reduction, quality improvement, and overall operational effectiveness through thoughtful planning and project execution. You serve as a key link between Warehouse Operations and Production Planning, ensuring clear communication and alignment to support plant operations.

In this role, you lead and develop hourly team members responsible for receiving, storage, and shipping functions that directly support production. You provide consistent training, coaching, and development for your team while ensuring plant policies and procedures are clearly communicated and consistently applied. Through strong leadership and accountability, you help create an efficient, safe, and engaged warehouse operation.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day activities of assigned department. Provide guidance and training to hourly workforce to ensure production, supply chain and quality goals are met.
  • Meet scheduled commitments on a timely basis with respect to mixing, sifting and delivering WIP to designated areas.
  • Meet shipping and receiving schedules as well as inventory control and accuracy.
  • Maintain positive employee relations, open communications while resolving employee discipline or performance issues.
  • Maintain professional relationships with other departments within the plant and corporate offices.
  • Prepare paperwork / reports on a timely basis.
  • Follow all sanitation, GMP, safety, quality and employee relation programs.
  • Confirm processes are run in accordance with SOP’s, SOPP’s and other documentation.
  • Identify, recommend, develop and implement improvements in safety, quality, processes, costs and SOP documentation.
  • Responsible to have safe work instructions available for all positions.
  • Meet ad-hoc customer requirements or to deal with unexpected Supply Chain disruptions
  • Warehouse Supervisor will drive LEAN activities to improve performance.
  • Ensure all raw material, packaging material, WIP and finished goods are handled within GMP and FIFO guidelines.
  • Drive cost saving initiatives to improve performance and cost of the warehouse operation. Also ensure the correct construction, control and management of the budget of warehousing (cost budget for warehousing and possible investment requirements).
  • Develop, maintain and empower a quality conscientious attitude among employees. Help identify long term opportunities and solutions for continuous improvement. Promote open communications between shifts and departments. Develop teamwork approach to teams.
  • Ensure all employees have the required level of safety training, all equipment and installations are well maintained with safety guards & devices and associates are using the appropriate PPE.
  • Assure activities being performed having an environmental impact are communicated and accomplished according to the environmental management systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree Preferred - in Logistics / Supply Chain or equivalent experience and minimum 1-2 years of supervisor experience (including military).
  • Firm understanding of manufacturing production, distribution and logistics processes.
  • Communication skills (strong verbal and written required).
  • Strong troubleshooting / problem-solving (analytical) skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills (ability to effectively work with all levels from hourly to management).
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP, GLOBE (internal candidates), MRP.
