Warehouse Storeman | Metroll Butler

Metroll Butler is a leading local manufacturer of metal building products, including roofing, cladding, rainwater, structural and fencing solutions. Serving Western Australia for over 30 years, we are part of a national network with 25+ branches across Australia.

We are currently seeking a reliable, organised and proactive Storeman to join our team at Butler. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and takes pride in delivering great service to customers.

About the Role

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will support the day-to-day warehouse operations and play an important role in ensuring customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time.

You will work closely with the sales and warehouse teams while helping maintain an organised, efficient and customer-focused warehouse environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Warehouse Manager with daily warehouse operations
  • Organising the picking, packing and dispatch of store goods
  • Safely operating a forklift to load, unload and transport customer orders and materials within the warehouse and yard
  • Operating an overhead crane to safely move and position steel and other building products as required
  • Ensuring customer orders are prepared accurately and ready for collection or delivery
  • Acting as the first point of contact for customers collecting their orders
  • Working closely with the sales and warehouse teams to coordinate customer orders
  • Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering to maintain appropriate inventory
  • Maintaining a safe, organised and efficient warehouse environment
  • Safely operate plant equipment such as roll formers, drop saws and re-bar tenders

About You

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team while also working independently
  • Confident communication skills and solid computer literacy
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • A customer-focused and solution-driven approach
  • Previous warehouse, dispatch or logistics experience will be highly regarded
  • The ability to safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes
  • Valid forklift license and experience

Desirable

  • Previous overhead crane experience
  • Experience in dispatch, logistics or warehouse operations
  • Experience within the building, construction or manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of building products and materials
  • Experience using inventory or warehouse management systems
