MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Warehouse Specialist to join our team in Portsmouth, VA. This is an onsite position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintain documentation for audits and compliance reviews and apply accurate labels to materials, bins, and shipments
Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs or electronic systems
Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies
Coordinate with team leads and supervisors to ensure timely material availability
Ensure proper stock rotation and storage practices to prevent material degradation and all materials are properly identified and traceable
Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and inspect for damage or discrepancies
Prepare and package outgoing shipments in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements and generate and maintain shipping and receiving documentation
Pick, stage, and deliver materials to production, training, or other departments
Support kitting operations by assembling and verifying kit contents
Perform duties of Material Handling Laborers as needed, including loading, unloading, and transporting materials
Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required PPE
Ensure warehouse operations comply with SOPs, WIs, and regulatory standards
Report safety incidents, equipment malfunctions, or process deviations promptly
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, follow all safety and conduct rules, and comply with company policies
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
1+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or inventory operations
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in government or defense-related logistics support
Clearance Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship required and an active Secret security clearance
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to work on their feet for up to 8 hours a day in a non-climate-controlled environment, and to be able to lift and handle material weighing up to 35 pounds
Must be able to safely operate mid-riders, pallet jacks and/ or other similar MHE devices
