Under the direction of the Inventory Control Manager, the Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of tasks such as; receiving, processing and delivering of parcels and special order merchandise and supplies to various departments and campus locations; conducting physical inventory of materials; and providing exceptional service to all customers.

Essential Duties:

  • Coordinate the receipt, processing, return, storage, transfer, and delivery of supplies, parcels, merchandise, and related materials to departments and campus locations

  • Monitor inventory levels, reorder supplies as needed, conduct physical inventory activities, and assist with fixed asset counting, recording, disposition, surplus, and sale preparation

  • Research and resolve customer service concerns related to supply distribution, delivery, inventory, or warehouse operations in a timely and professional manner

  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe warehouse work areas, equipment, and assigned vehicles to support efficient daily operations

  • Provide operational support for campus events, including setup and tear down of meetings and activities at various NWACC locations

  • Serve as backup support for mailroom services and assist Physical Plant or other departments with warehouse, delivery, or facilities-related needs as assigned

  • Demonstrate regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance; maintain positive, collegial working relationships

  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary to support the goals and objectives of the department and college

Rate of Pay: $16.12 hourly *Higher compensation may be considered based on qualifications directly related to position.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Arkansas Division of Higher Education
  • At least 1 year of applicable work experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the organization and administration of various higher education academic and social programs
  • Knowledge of campus and community resources
  • Knowledge of state, federal, and campus rules, regulations, and requirements related to campus academic and social programs
  • Ability to coordinate the activities of campus academic and/or social programs
  • Ability to evaluate collected information and formulate into recommendations
  • Ability to compile information into report form

Infrequently, exposure to louder noise levels or physical activities, such as moving lightweight materials, might be required.
