Topcon Job Description – Warehouse Specialist Shipping


Department: Warehouse Department

Employment Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor


This position will be responsible for warehouse activities in compliance with our quality systems. This role encompasses shipping and general warehouse operations, requiring flexibility for extended shifts and weekend work during peak periods. Key responsibilities include processing domestic
and international shipments and picking / packing the required materials for shipments. All operations will be performed while adhering to quality and safety standards.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Follow established warehouse work instructions and procedures.
2. Process international and domestic shipments, to include documentation and logistics
coordination.
3. Pick and pack parts required for shipments.
4. Operate powered industrial trucks and equipment.
5. Participate in special projects or tasks as needed.
6. Maintains appropriate 5S conditions, keeping warehouse aisles and locations clean and organized.
7. May assist in training new employees or new processes with existing staff.
8. Consults with Supervisor on questionable cases involving material, quality, or procedure matters.
9. Performs other duties as required.


Requirements and Skills:
1. High School Diploma or Equivalent
2. Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions in English.
3. High attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
4. Ability to work effectively with team members, other departments, and management with a positive attitude.
5. Self-starter, motivated, and engaged.
6. Possess good communication skills, work ethic, and attendance.
7. Familiarity with SAP, MS Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word), and Workday preferred.
8. Able to work independently without close supervision.
9. Prior warehousing experience and powered industrial lift truck certification preferred.


Equipment and Tools Operated or worked from:
Powered industrial equipment, pallet wrapper, electric bander, etc.


Physical Environment:
May sit/stand for extended periods. May require lifting up to 50lbs.
