Job Description

Partner with retail team members in a high-energy, fast-paced environment to perform a variety of critical supply chain responsibilities that will never be boring. Together, you’ll sort, process, and prepare donated merchandise for display and sale in our 21 area retail stores.

Responsibilities

Essential Competencies:

 Action Oriented Customer Focus Composure Time Management

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:1. Sort items on a conveyor belt and load the items from machines to totes, carts, gaylord’s and dollies in a timely manner.2. Places non-sellable merchandise in the appropriate waste containers.3. Maintains a pace at which one is able to meet daily quota for pieces processed4. Follows good safety and security practices including reporting safety hazards and injuries to the manager on duty.5. Keeps the work area clean and organized at all times.6. Other duties as assigned.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:1. Assist with warehouse cleanup/organizing as needed.2. Maintains a professional appearance adhering to Goodwill uniform standards3. Provides excellent service to Goodwill’s donors and retail customers4. Performs other duties as directed

Supervisory Responsibility:This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:1. A minimum of six months of previous work experience in a warehouse environment2. Ability to perform basic math3. Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic instruction4. Ability to effectively communicate verbally with other associates 5. Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, bending, lifting, kneeling and climbing for prolonged periods of time (up to 7 hours – per 8 hour shift)6. Ability to work in a fast paced environment7. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently

Preferred Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent 2. Previous experience working in a warehouse environment4. Previous experience working with sorting merchandise5. Basic computer skills6. Multilingual with fluency in English
