Job Description

What to Expect

As Tesla’s Warehouse and Receiving Lead, you will own receiving, inventory accuracy, and controlled release of materials supporting industrial construction for some of the most advanced and ambitious materials refining and process facilities being built in America. You will run warehouse floors, laydowns, and receiving areas with discipline, verifying deliveries, protecting material integrity, and getting the right parts to the field when needed. This role is for a hyper-organized leader who thrives on accuracy, pace, and accountability, and who treats every receipt, put-away, and issue ticket as schedule-critical.

What You’ll Do

  • Own day-to-day warehouse and receiving operations, including inspection support, put-away, inventory control, picking, kitting, and controlled material issue to the field
  • Lead warehouse/receiving personnel and set clear standards for accuracy, housekeeping, safety, and turnaround time
  • Verify inbound deliveries against POs packing lists and receiving documents, identifying shortages, overages, damage, and documentation gaps immediately
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and location control so material status is trusted by Procurement, Logistics, Construction, and Project Management
  • Coordinate closely with Logistics, Material Management, and Superintendents to prioritize receipts and releases against look-ahead workfronts and critical path needs
  • Drive quarantine, hold, and nonconformance handling for damaged or incorrect materials, ensuring clear segregation and fast resolution with Quality and Procurement
  • Enforce warehouse safety and material protection standards, including racking, lifting practices, and weather/exposure controls for stored commodities

What You’ll Bring

  • 4+ years of warehouse, receiving, or materials control leadership experience on industrial construction, manufacturing, or other major capital project sites
  • Demonstrated ability to run high-volume receiving and inventory operations with high accuracy under aggressive project schedules
  • Strong working knowledge of receiving documentation, PO matching, inventory systems, and controlled issue processes
  • Proven leadership of warehouse crews with a focus on safety, housekeeping, and measurable throughput
  • Detail-obsessed operator who catches discrepancies early and closes them before they become field shortages
  • Effective cross-functional communicator with Logistics, Procurement, Quality, and Construction teams
  • Hands-on lead who is present on the floor, sets the pace, and refuses to let receiving or inventory accuracy become a bottleneck
