ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, this role is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods across the site. Key responsibilities include FLT operation, production stock replenishment, stock transfers, loading and unloading vehicles, and supporting inventory control activities. The successful candidate will ensure materials are delivered to the right location at the right time to support production schedules, while maintaining high standards of housekeeping and adhering to all health, safety, and environmental requirements. The role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment. This Role is Fixed Term until 31.12.26.

KEY ACTIVITIES

Materials Movement & Production Support

  • Safely transport raw materials, packaging, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods throughout the site to support operational requirements
  • Ensure timely replenishment of production lines and work centres to maintain uninterrupted manufacturing activities
  • Transfer stock between warehouse, storage, and production locations, ensuring all movements are accurately recorded within the ERP system
  • Load, unload, and move materials using FLT equipment in accordance with site procedures and safe working practices
  • Verify stock quantities, batch numbers, and locations when completing material movements
  • Support production teams by responding promptly to material requests and prioritising urgent operational requirements
  • Maintain accurate stock rotation practices, ensuring materials are used in accordance with FIFO principles where applicable
  • Assist with inventory checks, stock investigations, and reconciliation activities as required

Forklift Truck Driving

  • Operative the FLT, in accordance with safety guidelines
  • Making full checks on the Forklift Truck in advance of driving it, completing paperwork to the effect and

notifying the Company of any faults immediately

  • Waste Management
  • Operating the cardboard baler and ensuring segregations of non-cardboard waste from this waste

management process

  • Assisting with the Company’s Environmental Management objectives in relation to waste management,

including the segregation, sorting, and preparation for collection of waste materials

Goods Inwards & Transfers

  • Receipting and checking off deliveries and internally processing goods against documentation
  • Checking batch numbers and expiry date details on goods received and recording information on the

advice note

  • Highlighting errors and discrepancies including short shelf-life goods
  • Booking and put-away of verified stock physically and onto the ERP system within target timeframe
  • Update logistics system with receipt details
  • Transferring goods and raw materials safely and efficiently throughout the factory as required

Store Layout

  • Storing goods appropriately and ensuring stock is allocated to the correct warehouse location
  • Recording stock details and verifying against ERP
  • Carrying our inventory counts on a regular basis, as requested
  • Carrying out housekeeping duties to maintain the required level of cleanliness or orderliness in the stores and the yard

Despatch

  • Identifying and picking stock as per pick sheets, accurately and efficiently
  • Preparing orders for despatch, with attention to detail on part numbers, quantity and batch numbers
  • Ensuring that goods are packed with care and attention
  • Recording weights and dimensions of consignments as required
  • Preparing and applying appropriate courier labels
  • Liaising with hauliers and couriers to lead consignments
  • Update logistics system with despatch details

KEY SKILLS

Essential

  • Current or Previous FLT License (P1/B1 preferred, but not essential)
  • Previous experience working in a busy warehouse environment
  • Working knowledge of warehouse/stock management systems
  • Good administrative skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to organise efficiently and methodically

Desirable


  • Previous experience working in a similar industry
  • Previous experience working in a heavily regulated environment
  • Experience using Navision
  • Previous working knowledge of SharePoint
