The Warehouse Operator (CDL-A) is an integral part of our Manufacturing team based out of our US - Salisbury, MD Plant site.

Hourly rate range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00

Position Details

This position is responsible for receiving, unloading, and delivering raw materials, finished product, equipment parts and other ordered materials, while monitoring and controlling inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unloads, stores, and delivers raw materials, finished product, equipment parts and other ordered materials.
  • Moves materials using a fork truck or company vehicle.
  • Completes receiving paperwork and makes systems entries.
  • Performs housekeeping in the warehouses and other areas as assigned.
  • Monitors and controls warehouse stock levels both onsite and offsite to ensure continuous production.
  • Creates purchase requisitions and enters receipts using the procurement software system.
  • Maintains accurate inventory using the company software systems and by conducting periodic audits.
  • Controls costs by maintaining proper inventory components and quantities.
  • Perform shift housekeeping and cleaning duties as assigned, including running the floor scrubber.

Key Responsibilities Continued

  • Adheres to all company purchasing, procurement, safety, and regulatory policies.
  • Interfaces with vendors with integrity.
  • Communicates with other colleagues relative to supply issues and inventory levels.
  • Utilizes proper personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with site procedures.
  • Completes all required paperwork in accordance with Company SOPs and FDA regulations.
  • Completes all training requirements, including safety, quality, cGMP, HR, SOP updates, and computer based compliance training.
  • Partner with maintenance to maintain equipment and minimize downtime. Follow all Safety & Environmental procedures to insure proper set-up of equipment for maintenance.
  • Perform shift housekeeping and cleaning duties as assigned.
  • Prompt and excellent attendance and be available for necessary overtime and emergency call-ins as needed.

Technical Skills Requirements

  • CDL license required to operate company vehicle. Hazmat endorsement required.
  • Able to read, write, and speak English proficiently, and perform basic mathematics.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with the use of personal computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-Mail, and Inventory Management Systems or Maintenance Warehouse Systems
  • Ability to routinely lift up to 55 pounds and operate a fork truck.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to accomplish multiple tasks, projects, and duties.
  • Ability to routinely lift and/or move up to 55 pounds

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED), some college experience preferred.
  • Two (2) years warehouse experience, preferably in a chemical or batch production facility.
