Job Description
Our Wilmington, DE site, AMSCO Wear Products, is seeking a Warehouse Operator.
The Warehouse Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift throughout the workday to pick, stage, load, and ship castings for both domestic and international customers. This position ensures accurate order fulfillment, proper material handling, inventory accuracy, and compliance with company safety and shipping requirements.
The Warehouse Operator plays a critical role in maintaining on-time deliveries and supporting overall warehouse operations.
What are the hours and pay?
- Monday – Friday, plus overtime as needed
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, plus OT as needed
- $25.00-$28.00/HR

What will you do?
- Safely operate sit-down and/or propane/electric forklifts throughout the shift.
- Pick castings from warehouse storage locations according to customer orders, shipping schedules, and production requirements.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, lot numbers, and order specifications for accuracy.
- Stage castings for shipment and prepare loads for domestic and international transportation.
- Load and unload trucks while ensuring proper weight distribution and secure placement of materials.
- Use warehouse management systems, scanners, shipping documents, and inventory records to track material movement.
- Inspect castings and packaging for damage prior to shipment.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain shipping documentation and labels.
- Assist with international shipments by ensuring products are accurately prepared and documented according to export requirements.
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and material tracking activities.
- Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
- Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Operate sandblast equipment as needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
- Previous warehouse and forklift operating experience preferred.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, or material handling preferred.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use scanners or warehouse management software.
