Job Description

Essential Job Functions

  • Ability to load / lash / secure Sea Feight Containers in line with regulations
  • Ability and certification to use general warehouse MHE
    • Counter balance forklift truck
    • Reach forklift truck
    • Manual Pallet Trucks
    • Other equipment as introduced
  • Manual Handling – correct and proper adherence to H&S guidelines
  • Wearing suitable PPE as directed by job function
  • Protecting other staff and visitors by following correct H&S processes/procedures
  • Material Receipt processing – quantity checks / net weigh of product
  • RF scanning using CWW warehouse management system (C2C)
  • Correct following of process in handling ETFS and other HMRC controlled goods
  • Housekeeping of the warehouse to a high standard
  • Picking orders to 100% picking accuracy
  • Checking cargo on receipt for damages / theft and escalating to management as necessary

Work Experience and Education

  • Aviation Security
  • Knowledge of dangerous goods handling
  • 3 years industry experience at a similar level

Other Skills & Abilities

  • Computer Literate
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web based and job specific software applications
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good communication skills
  • Good written and numerical skills

Physical Requirements

  • Stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • Reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch and frequently required to climb or balance
  • Regularly lift and/or move 25 kilo and occasionally lift and/or move 25 kilo by hand
  • Warehouse temperatures are variable and often uncontrolled, unless the product being stored requires that the maintenance of a specific temperature.
  • Ability to drive a forklift- and/or Reach truck and become certified by Crane Worldwide
