Your Role
The Warehouse Operator 1 at MilliporeSigma’s Allentown, PA site will support the shipment of customer orders following procedures and guidelines for selecting, checking, packing and unpacking inbound and outbound shipments. Responsibilities include the following:
Check chemicals, catalog number, lot number, special request information, unit size, and weights against order documentation found in packing instructions
Accurately pull and stage materials from storage locations, ensuring order accuracy and stockroom organization
Package materials and apply all required labeling in strict accordance with established procedures and hazardous materials regulations
Stage finished boxes to be metered and shipped and distribute completed orders to the appropriate area of the facility
Use proper equipment for appropriate order (size of order, weight, etc.,)
Unload inbound trucks and unpack shipments, distributing materials to designated storage locations
Store and organize unpacked items and packing material in appropriate areas of warehouse and perform shelf maintenance in stock areas
Pick up trash and debris in work station and stock areas
Hours: Monday–Friday. Core shift hours are typically 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with flexibility in start and end times (up to a one-hour variance). Eligible for overtime. Occasional weekend hours may be necessary
Physical Attributes:
Stand, walk and move between areas for the duration of shift
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ year of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
Experience with pallet jack operation, selecting carts, packing equipment (tape machines and various cutting instruments)
Experience with PC and printer operation
