Kepak St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfil has combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers’ counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse/Intakes Operative on Nights to work in our busy manufacturing site in Merthyr Tydfil.

This is a full time, permanent position working 6.30pm to 3.30am - Monday to Friday with an hourly rate of £ 14.84 - £16.38

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload trailers in a safe and efficient manner
• Move and stack materials
• Keep production lines supplied with empty containers and packaging materials as needed
• Spot lorries and allocate stock as needed
• Rotate floor stock
• General Housekeeping duties in the warehouse or production area and duties as assigned
• Perform general warehouse duties in order to maintain a smooth operation
• Receive/process shipment
• Inspect and maintain equipment, reporting any faults or wear and tear
• Stack, scan and wrap pallets to the orders
• To assist in receiving goods in and out, quality checks, undertake stock counts
• Ensure stock is rotated within the department
• Ensure stock is fed throughout production
• Booking in stock and unloading/loading trailers
• Intakes practices must be carried out as trained
• Be aware of Health & Safety issues
• Follow company policies and procedures at all times
• Fork Lift licence desirable
