Job Description

  • Location: South Elmsall, Pontefract, WF9
  • Contract: 6 Months Temp
  • Pay between £12.51 - £15.37
  • Various Shifts Available

Next is one of the biggest and best known online and high street Retailers in the UK. Our warehouses are the heart of our operation, and we have a network of modern facilities employing over 9,000 people.

Hourly Rate:

Day Rate (Between 6:00am - 10:00pm) - £12.51 - £12.81

Night Rate (Between 10:00pm - 6:00am) - £15.01 - £15.37

(You could also earn up to a £5 performance bonus)

Shifts:

  • Wed-Sat/Thu-Sat 06:00-18:00
  • Wed-Sat/Thu-Sat 15:00-03:00
  • Sun-Tue/Sun-Wed 09:00-21:00
  • Sun-Tue/Sun-Wed 14:00-20:00
  • Wed-Sat/Thu-Sat 14:00-20:00
  • Wed-Sat/Thu-Sat 18.00-06.00

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Picking customer orders
  • Packing orders in a presentable way
  • Scan boxes that come down a conveyor belt
  • Use a safety knife to cut a hole in the box (big enough to fit your hand inside)
  • Stacking the boxes on a trolley (this will hold up to 16 boxes)
  • Moving a trolley around the picking isles and putting the boxes in the empty locations

We're looking for a dedicated individual who:

  • Is comfortable with manual handling and lifting heavy boxes that weigh up to 25kg
  • Has the capacity to work quickly and think decisively
  • Who can adhere to strict health and safety guidelines.
  • Can demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Can show commitment to working efficiently to meet targets
  • Will be comfortable with moving around the warehouse or remain in a stationary position for the duration of your shift.
  • Can adapt and be prepared to contribute to different areas and adjust to changing needs.
  • Has a good eye for detail and attention to detail
  • Has a desire to learn new skills and apply them where required.
