Operations Supervisor – Runcorn Sort Centre

Location: Runcorn

Full Time 40 hrs per week | Permanent Mon- Fri 05:00-13:30pm

Lead the team that keeps our operation moving

We’re looking for an experienced people leader to join our busy Runcorn Sort Centre.

This is a hands-on operational leadership role where you’ll take responsibility for a team of 30+ colleagues, helping to deliver a safe, efficient and high-performing shift.

If you’ve led teams in a warehouse, logistics, parcel, mail or manufacturing environment and enjoy bringing the best out of people while keeping a fast-paced operation on track, this could be a great next step.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of approximately 30+ colleagues, creating an engaged and high-performing environment.
• Manage day-to-day sort operations, ensuring service, productivity, quality and efficiency targets are achieved.
• Plan people and resources around forecast volumes and changing operational demands.
• Monitor KPIs, identify opportunities for improvement and take action to improve performance.
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure Health & Safety standards and procedures are consistently followed.
• Manage team performance, attendance, development and training while supporting the wider operation when required.

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally bring:

• At least one year’s experience in a Supervisor, Team Manager, Shift Manager or acting leadership role.
• Experience leading 20+ colleagues in a warehouse, logistics, parcel, mail or manufacturing environment.
• Strong people leadership skills and the confidence to motivate a large operational team.
• Experience in resource planning, workforce deployment and performance management.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive approach to improving performance and ways of working.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
