We are seeking a highly organized and hands-on Warehouse Operations & Purchasing Lead to oversee the daily shipping, receiving, inventory, and purchasing functions for our repair operations. This role is responsible for ensuring materials, parts, and equipment are received, tracked, stored, and distributed efficiently while maintaining accurate inventory.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where organization, communication, and continuous improvement are essential.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

Oversee all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and coordinating freight carriers.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse inventory, storage locations, and work areas.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and periodic physical inventories.
  • Ensure inventory records remain accurate within the company's ERP system.
  • Maintain an organized warehouse.

Purchasing

  • Purchase parts, tools, consumables, and other supplies required for repair operations.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing excess stock.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Monitor purchase orders from creation through delivery.
  • Resolve vendor issues involving pricing, shortages, backorders, and returns.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Operations Support

  • Work closely with technicians, service managers, and office staff to prioritize material needs.
  • Monitor inventory trends and recommend stocking strategies.
  • Develop and improve warehouse procedures and purchasing processes.
  • Track key performance metrics such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and purchasing costs.
  • Assist with other operational projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or related education preferred.
  • 3+ years of warehouse, inventory, purchasing, or operations experience.
  • Previous experience in a repair, manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environment is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience using inventory management or ERP software.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification is a plus.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and material handling devices.
