The Operations Manager is the senior on-site leader at Singer Equipment’s Bellmawr facility, with primary responsibility for all warehouse operations and the performance of the team that runs them. The core of this role is hands-on operational leadership — driving efficiency, accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement across receiving, warehousing, and outbound shipping. In addition to warehouse leadership, this person directly oversees the Office Manager, ensuring smooth day-to-day administration and building operations. As the most consistently present leader in the building, the Operations Manager sets the tone for the entire facility and is accountable for building the processes and culture that allow Bellmawr to operate at a high level.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Warehouse Operations
• Oversee and manage all warehouse activities including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders and product transfers.
• Assign and schedule work to warehouse staff to meet daily order volumes and company service standards.
• Ensure accurate receiving of equipment and materials from vendors, customers, and external warehouses using the inventory management system.
• Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and assess damaged items; communicate discrepancies to appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Oversee proper picking, loading, and preparation of outbound shipments.
• Monitor key performance indicators; analyze trends, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions where goals are not being met.
• Build, document, and continuously improve warehouse processes and procedures to drive efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and lead improvement initiatives; foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the warehouse team.
People Leadership
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of five direct reports — including a warehouse lead, warehouse associates, and the Office Manager — in a collaborative, high-performing environment.
• Set clear performance expectations; provide ongoing feedback and take proactive corrective action as necessary.
• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement across warehouse and office functions.
• Partner with Human Resources on staffing, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations matters in accordance with company policy.
• Manage and resolve internal conflict constructively and professionally.
Office & Facility Management
• Directly oversee the Office Manager, providing direction and support across administrative functions, building operations, and event and meeting preparation.
• Ensure the Bellmawr facility — including warehouse, office areas, and common spaces — is clean, organized, and properly maintained; coordinate with vendors on repairs, inspections, and service scheduling as needed.
• Enforce access controls and maintain the security of the building.
Safety & Compliance
• Maintain a safe work environment for all building occupants; ensure compliance with company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
• Actively implement initiatives set forth by the company’s Safety organization and participate in safety committee activities.
• Ensure warehouse equipment, vehicles, and building systems are properly maintained and in safe working condition.
Communication & Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Serve as the primary operational support resource for Bellmawr-based sales teams, ensuring orders, deliveries, and customer commitments are executed accurately and on time.
• Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders — including sales, project managers, and other departments — regarding scheduling, discrepancies, or operational issues.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships across the organization; collaborate with other Singer locations on transfers, best practice sharing, and operational support as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and hold a team accountable.
• Proven track record of building or improving operational processes; process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical mindset with close attention to detail and a results-oriented approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate clearly across all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with inventory management systems and standard office software.
• Forklift certified or ability to obtain certification.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
• Experience managing across multiple functional areas (warehouse, office, facilities).
• Familiarity with LTL and small parcel shipping operations.

Candidates are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet all listed requirements. We recognize that skills and potential can take many forms, and we value diverse experiences that may not align perfectly with traditional qualifications.
