Principle Distribution is a transportation and delivery partner supporting OEM and aftermarket automotive parts distributors through scalable delivery operations and experienced independent contractor driver networks.

Since 2003, Principle Distribution has helped customers improve delivery performance, operational consistency, and overall service reliability.

Principle Distribution is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily transportation and delivery operations in Austin, Texas.

This role is responsible for route execution, operational performance, driver support, service quality, and direct communication with Principle Distribution’s dedicated client.

The Operations Manager will work closely with customers, dispatch personnel, and delivery drivers to ensure service expectations, staffing levels, and operational goals are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

• ·Oversee daily delivery and transportation operations
• ·Manage dispatch coordination, route execution, and service performance
• ·Monitor on-time delivery performance and customer satisfaction
• ·Identify operational issues and implement process improvements
• ·Ensure compliance with company policies and operational procedur

• Client & Team Leadership

• ·Serve as the primary operational contact for dedicated client accounts
• ·Communicate daily with client leadership regarding service levels, staffing, and operational needs
• ·Lead dispatchers, coordinators, and independent contractor driver operations
• ·Support onboarding, training, and performance management
• ·Maintain adequate route coverage and operational accountability

• Performance & Reporting

• ·Track operational metrics including route efficiency, service failures, and cost performance
• ·Develop strategies focused on efficiency, consistency, and profitability
• ·Prepare operational updates and performance reports for leadership

• Qualifications

• ·Experience in logistics, transportation operations, supply chain, or courier operations
• ·Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• ·Ability to manage customer relationships in a fast-paced environment
• ·Experience with dispatch systems, routing software, and transportation technology
• ·Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• ·Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics-related software
• ·Ability to work independently and manage multiple operational priorities
• ·Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
• ·Austin transportation or automotive logistics experience preferred
• ·Final-mile or automotive parts delivery experience is a plus

Compensation Package:

• $60K-$70K depending on experience
