Based at our Gauteng Branch to further strengthen our local operations, we are currently seeking a:

Warehouse Operations Coordinator – (Johannesburg, South Africa)

Reporting directly to the Operations Supervisor, the successful candidate for this key function will be responsible for:

  • Ensure accurate receiving, storage, and issuing of raw materials to support uninterrupted production.
  • Maintain real-time inventory accuracy and strict batch traceability for all raw materials.
  • Drive efficient binning, replenishment, and material flow between warehouse and production.
  • Support safe, compliant, and audit-ready warehouse operations within a production environment.
  • Improve labour productivity and stock handling efficiency in raw material areas

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Raw Material Receiving & Control
  • Verify incoming raw materials against purchase orders and specifications.
  • Capture and validate batch numbers, quantities, and bin allocations.
  • Ensure materials follow QA hold/release processes before use.
  1. Binning & Storage Control
  • Ensure accurate binning of raw materials immediately after receipt.
  • Maintain strict adherence to:
    • FIFO / FEFO principles
    • Correct storage conditions (including allergen segregation where applicable)
  • Ensure bin locations are clearly labelled, organised, and system-aligned.
  1. Raw Material Issuing to Production
  • Ensure timely, accurate issuing of raw materials to production lines.
  • Prevent production stoppages through:
    • Proactive monitoring of stock levels
    • Coordination with production teams
  • Ensure correct material and batch issued per production requirement
  1. Replenishment & Material Flow
  • Manage replenishment of forward pick / staging areas feeding production.
  • Coordinate movement between:
    • Bulk storage
    • Production staging areas

Ensure continuous availability of materials at point of use

  1. Inventory Accuracy & Control
  • Maintain high bin accuracy across all raw materials.
  • Conduct cycle counts and investigate discrepancies immediately.
  • Identify and report:
    • Damaged stock
    • Obsolete / slow-moving materials
    • Near-expiry materials
  1. Machine Operator Coordination (Binning & Replenishment)
  • Coordinate and guide machine operators responsible for binning and replenishment activities.
  • Ensure operators:
    • Follow correct binning procedures
    • Maintain accurate stock movements
    • Adhere to SOPs and safety standards
  • Monitor productivity and accuracy of these activities
  1. Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping
  • Enforce HSE standards relevant to raw material handling (dust, stacking, equipment use).
  • Maintain clean, organised, and audit-ready storage areas.
  • Ensure compliance with:
    • Food safety standards
    • Internal SOPs and audits
  1. Traceability & Documentation
  • Maintain full traceability of raw materials from receipt to production issue.
  • Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded in system and documentation.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements.

PROFILE

  • Matric and Diploma/Degree in Logistics /Supply Chain/Operation Management
  • At least 3 – 5 years’ experience in warehousing or food manufacturing warehouse (raw material focus preferred)with a proven track record of FMCG Experience will be an advantage
  • Driver’s License
  • Computer literacy: MS Office suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Over and above normal working hours, occasional overtime is required.
  • Good communication skills - English is a prerequisite - ability to read and write; additional language(s) an advantage.
  • Written comprehension – the ability to read and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Good personality, hardworking, teamwork, service orientated, creative, innovative, trustworthy, open to learn from feedback.
