The Grosvenor underground steelmaking coal mine produced its first longwall coal in May 2016. The site is located in Moranbah, approximately 190 kilometres south-west of Mackay.

Following a localised ignition at Grosvenor Mine on 29 June 2024, the operation is now in a project phase to recommence mining operations. The Anglo American Board has endorsed funding to proceed with the restart of Grosvenor Mine, with a target return to longwall production by Q4 2027. Our focus remains on working together for a safe and successful restart at Grosvenor Mine, grounded in learnings from the past, informed by industry-leading practices.

Grosvenor Mine

As a Warehouse Officer, you will contribute to the effective operation of Grosvenor Mine’s Warehouse functions, with a strong commitment to safe working practices.

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, your primary focus is to perform warehouse duties relating to the control of inventory, direct charge purchases, vendor-held stock, consignment spares and consumables. You will be required to provide customer service to end-users to ensure timely and effective provision of goods and provide support for specific customer needs.

The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in the receipting, storage, protection and distribution of the Company's assets.
  • Maintain the warehouse facilities to provide a safe, neat and clean working environment.
  • Operate a Forklift and other required equipment safely.
  • Ensuring correct parts and quantity are retrieved.
  • Perform tasks within accordance with current productivity levels.
  • Packing of parts in a safe and secure manner.
  • Ensuring parts are sent to the correct location.
  • Meeting customer delivery deadlines.
  • Monitor procurement, shipping and delivery of materials.
  • Responsible for the shipping, tracking and receipt of all incoming materials in conjunction with other members of the procurement team.
  • Keep the project team well informed of any changes or updates in material and project resource availability.
  • Assisting with the development, implementation and ongoing adherence to processes, procedures and company policies that ensure cost-effective and timely movement of materials and supplies.
  • Communication of lead-times, delays and other factors affecting deliverables of projects from a materials availability perspective.
  • Overseeing inventory/stock control.

Qualifications

  • Valid Driver’s License (preferably a Manual Light Vehicle).
  • Certificate III Warehousing & Logistics or similar experience.
  • Hold a current forklift LF high risk licence essential.
  • Experience working in a warehouse/procurement environment.
  • Previous warehouse experience within a mining or heavy industrial environment is advantageous.
  • EWP, and experience with Microsoft Office suite is desirable.
  • Experience utiltising SAP for warehouse functions is desirable.
  • The ability to interpret maintenance parts as well as knowledge of other mine site consumables will be well regarded.

  • Multiple full-time permanent positions based at Grosvenor Mine, Moranbah QLD
  • Two rosters available: Monday to Friday staff roster (9-day fortnight) or 7 on, 7 off day/night roster
