Job Description

Warehouse Materials Technician

We are seeking a Warehouse Materials Technician to join our Materials Management team! In this job, you will work at one of our seven (7) warehouses, where you will execute various standard warehousing procedures to support the warehouse and materials areas and provide necessary materials to different locations, groups, and individuals.

How Will You Make an Impact?

  • Issuing parts and tools to personnel
  • Shipping and receiving parts, tools, and materials
  • Performing inventory cycle counts
  • Processing paperwork for receiving/issuing stock items
  • Maintaining adequate supply levels of parts and materials
  • Performing inspections on shipments received
  • Organizing warehouse layouts
  • Delivering equipment, materials, and supplies to various buildings and work sites
  • Supporting, at times, the Procurement Associate or assigned staff to resolve receipt and payment issues

*Please note that work hours for this position are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and stand-by work is required on a rotational basis. We are considered essential personnel and are required to work in all-weather situations. Your job duties may be performed at any of our seven warehouses, and location determination will be based on business necessity/operational needs. A valid, unrestricted driver's license is also required for this position, as you will be traveling to multiple sites to perform your duties.

Who You Are...

  • Experience with operating a forklift; a Current Company Forklift certification is valued
  • Knowledge of warehousing procedures and previous warehouse experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of inventory control and material management techniques
  • Experience with computer hardware and software applications
  • Ability to effectively exchange or convey information to others in a way that ensures understanding

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Exerts 20-50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements exceed those for Light Work.
  • Positions in this class typically require reaching, standing, walking, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
