Job Description

PAY RATE

  • $20.35/HOUR + OVERTIME AVAILABLE

SCHEDULE

This position requires flexibility with scheduling. Work hours will be one of the following options:

  • 4:00 AM – 2:30 PM, four days per week (Friday through Monday)

  • 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, five days per week (Thursday through Monday)

LOCATION

Contribute to the smooth and efficient distribution of Columbia Sportswear products by performing a variety of tasks within the warehouse and driving to pick up and deliver products. This role involves receiving, labeling, inventorying, and shipping products, as well as handling special delivery or pick-up requests. Represent Columbia Sportswear in a courteous and professional manner in both warehouse operations and driving duties. We operate in a fast-paced environment, supplying five store locations throughout the Orlando area, so attention to detail and efficiency are essential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Receive incoming products and affix proper labeling.

  • Make boxes according to pick labels, load on cart, and pick to appropriate box.

  • Unload cases from pick cart, verify packing accuracy, seal cartons, and send to shipping.

  • Dispose of empty cartons.

  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accountability for all units.

  • Operate manual or automated material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and/or order pickers.

  • Pickup and deliver (including loading and unloading) various products at Columbia Sportswear facilities and outside vendors within a regional area.

  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth flow of information and product.

  • Monitor the condition of trucks and notify the appropriate Supervisor/Manager when maintenance or repairs are needed.

  • Frequently lift/carry over 60 pounds.

  • Delivery routes that may involve long walks, as well as pushing and pulling loads of 300-600 lbs using heavy equipment.

  • Maintain valid Driver’s License and suitable driving record.

  • Be available to work a flexible schedule to meet all delivery requirements.

  • Support/work in the warehouse when not out on deliveries.

WORK ALLOCATION:

  • Approximately 80% of the time will be spent on warehouse associate/material handler duties.

  • Approximately 20% of the time will be spent on driving and delivery duties.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Maintain positive and professional open lines of communication with all Columbia Sportswear staff to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including working in Shipping, Receiving Departments, processing products for stores, or general warehouse work when not making deliveries.

  • Experience working in shipping or freight preferred.

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

  • Experience driving trucks up to 26-foot box truck with lift gate.

  • Must have a valid Driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record. (Clean driving record required)

  • Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position

JOB CONDITIONS:

Job may require hours that often exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week to complete priority projects and make deliveries during peak season(s). Exposure to Distribution Center machinery/equipment such as conveyor belts, forklifts and loading docks. Exposure to traffic conditions and weather elements during deliveries.

Work in hot and cold conditions consistent with Florida temperatures.
