Warehouse Manager - Afternoon Shift


The Warehouse Manager oversees all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of products. This role is responsible for maintaining high levels of accuracy, safety, productivity, and customer service while optimizing warehouse processes and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.

  • Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes, workflows, and best practices.

  • Manage inventory accuracy through regular audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation.

  • Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff; manage scheduling, performance, and development.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

  • Coordinate logistics with carriers, vendors, and internal departments.

  • Monitor and analyze KPIs such as order accuracy, on-time shipping, productivity, and space utilization.

  • Optimize warehouse layout, equipment, and storage solutions for efficiency.

  • Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment (forklifts, scanners, etc.).

  • Manage budgets, control costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar leadership role.

  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.

  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic ERP software.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • OSHA certification or knowledge of safety regulations is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift/move products as required.

  • Comfortable working in warehouse environments (temperature variations, equipment noise).

Working Conditions

  • Full-time, on-site position.

  • May require overtime, weekend, or holiday work during peak periods.

This role offers a salary range of $75,000 – $85,000 annually, based on skills, experience, and location. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, generous PTO, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

Education

  • Associate degreerequired
  • Bachelor’s degreepreferred

Certifications

  • HACCP certification
  • Food Safety
  • Forklift Certification

Computer Skills

  • Proficient with all computer applications
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems; inventory control

Other Qualifications, Experience

  • 1 year management experience

Position sometimes requires extended hours including evenings and/or weekends, travel to multiple work sites and occasional out-of-state travel

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The work is performed primarily in an office setting. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
  • The work is performed secondarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, specifically the packing and warehousing areas. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud
  • Standingportion of the workday is required
  • Work requires movement in and out of storerooms, near heavy machinery and freezers
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
