Warehouse Manager | Linden, NJ · $80,000–$100,000

About the Role A furniture company is looking for a hands-on Warehouse Manager to take ownership of its entire warehouse operation. The team — receivers, quality control, packers, preparers, shippers, and maintenance — is already in place; what's needed is a strong leader to hold them to a standard and keep the whole operation running smoothly, from receiving through load-out. This is a high-accountability role for someone who leads from the floor and never lets a damaged or incorrect item walk out the door.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

• Lead, train, hire, and fire warehouse staff
• Hold the team to a consistent, high standard of performance

Inventory & Quality Control

• Own the full flow from receiving to load-out for furniture and staging inventory
• Maintain 100% inventory accuracy across internal systems
• Ensure every item is inspected before acceptance or shipment
• Oversee restoration of damaged items — repair, restock, or retire

Warehouse Operations

• Ensure loads are scanned and ready before trucks leave — no early or rushed departures
• Stock and reorder crew kits, tools, and warehouse supplies
• Keep the floor clean, organized, and safe
• Write and improve operational protocols; report on progress weekly

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading, hiring, and managing a team
• Hands-on experience running a warehouse or large inventory operation
• Comfortable working with inventory software and barcode scanning systems
• Strong process-writing and improvement skills
• Highly organized, hands-on, and self-directed
