Job Description

Job Title

Warehouse Manager EU

Are you a seasoned Operations Executive who excels at driving high-performance logistics across multiple sites? Do you have a proven track record in motivating supervisors and team leaders to reach peak productivity? Apply now as our new Warehouse Manager EU and orchestrate the operational execution of our European distribution hubs!

What you will do

This is a unique opportunity to lead the operational execution of our Physical Distribution capability within Europe. As the end-to-end operational owner of our European Distribution Center (EDC) in Veghel (NL) and our Distribution Center (DCS) in Santpedor (ES), you have the mandate to oversee and optimize the entire European warehouse footprint. You focus entirely on maximizing shop floor efficiency, throughput, and operational excellence across all physical warehouse departments.

By guiding and developing your operational leadership team, your hands-on drive will directly optimize global OTIF and structurally realize a sharp Cost of Organization, while securing a safe, compliant, and highly productive environment.

Your tasks and responsibilities

As Warehouse Manager EU, you are fully responsible for the daily outcomes, performance, and strategic alignment of Physical Distribution across our European facilities. You lead a large warehouse population through a structured layer of Team Leaders and Supervisors who report directly to you. This role demands high strategic oversight of resources, excellent floor-leadership, building trust with all your employees, and a strong focus on workforce balancing to meet strict delivery targets.

While reporting directly to the Global Director Physical Distribution Excellence, you operate as a key strategic business partner to the Global Planning, CI & Analytics Manager and the Global Shipping Manager. You ensure that tactical improvement programs and shipping schedules are seamlessly converted into warehouse execution. Additionally, you are fully responsible for managing the local QHSE compliance, facilities, and the overall operational financial/budget position for Physical Distribution EU.

During your assignments your responsibilities and activities will be to:

  • Lead, coach, and guide the Team Leaders and Supervisors overseeing the Inbound, Stock, Pick-Pack, and Outbound operations in Veghel and Santpedor.
  • Implement, embed, and drive the Toyota Production System / Vanderlande Production System (TPS/VPS) principles on the shop floor to structurally eliminate inefficiencies and boost daily productivity.
  • Proactively manage and balance the workforce across departments to align capacity with fluctuating demand to adhere to efficiency in labour costs.
  • Secure and execute daily and monthly On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) delivery targets across both European distribution centers.
  • Act as the ultimate responsible owner for local QHSE compliance, ensuring a zero-harm culture and full adherence to safety regulations.
  • Oversee local facilities management and the operational budget (Finance) for the European Physical Distribution hubs.
  • Partner closely with the Global Planning, CI & Analytics Manager and the Global Shipping Manager to align warehouse capacity with forecasting and transport requirements.
  • Foster a continuous improvement mindset on the floor, translating complex optimization concepts into practical, daily work instructions for the teams.

What you bring

  • Master’s degree (WO) or Bachelor’s degree (HBO) with strong analytical capability, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration.
  • 8+ years of work experience including as an Operations Executive within high-volume Physical Distribution or large-scale fulfillment center management, preferably in a project business environment
  • Extensive experience in leadership, specifically in managing and developing intermediate layers (Team Leaders and Supervisors) in an international corporate environment.
  • Experience with implementing and driving structured production systems (such as TPS/VPS) on the shop floor is required.
  • Solid background in managing localized operational business support, specifically local QHSE, facility management, and site-budgeting (Finance).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to act as an equal peer to corporate managers and global counterparts.
  • A pragmatic, metric-driven mindset with a high sense of urgency to secure demanding OTIF targets and lower the Cost of Organization.

You should apply when you are:

  • A natural people leader who can see the person behind the work individual and who excels at motivating, structuring, and guiding large operational teams through intermediate leads.
  • Highly stress-resistant and able to maintain absolute overview across multi-site operations (Veghel and Santpedor).
  • A strong organizer who naturally prioritizes safety, operational quality, and productivity on a daily basis.
  • A collaborative peer who values strong alignment with global counterparts to maintain standardized ways of working.
  • Self-confident, proactive, and independent in managing day-to-day warehouse challenges, while being conscious enough to know when to escalate, or to ask for help, feedback, or reflection.

What we offer

We offer a position in an international and professional working environment with room for personal development and growth.

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 6.500 to € 7.600 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance).
