Location: We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager for the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex, the Protective Football Stadium and the Legacy Arena located in Birmingham, AL.

Convention Center Complex: includes 220,000sqft Exhibition Hall, 100,000sqft in 74 Meeting rooms, 3,000 Seat Concert Hall, 1,000 Seat Theatre, a brand new 45,000 seat Football Stadium that features 36 suites and a 1,200-person club area. This stadium is home to UAB Football as well as other sporting events and concerts. The property also contains the Legacy Arena. The estimated revenue is $10 to $12 million a year.

Protective Football Stadium Type of Events- 5 UAB football games, Birmingham Bowl plus other Events. 36 Suites, 1,700 person club, 47,000 capacity, 17 Concession Stands.

Legacy Arena Type of Events- G-League Basketball, Concerts, College Basketball. 18,000 seat capacity. 12 suites, 2 Clubs, and 9 Concession Stands.


The Warehouse Manager is an integral member of the Operations team, responsible for directing and overseeing all aspects of warehouse functions including purchasing, receiving, inventory management, and distribution. This role ensures that food, beverage, and event-related supplies are efficiently procured, accurately tracked, securely stored, and delivered to the right locations on time.

The Warehouse Manager will collaborate with Culinary, Concessions, Banquets, Catering, and Event Operations leaders to forecast supply needs, plan ahead for large-scale events, and guarantee that all departments have the materials required for success. They will oversee warehouse staff, delegate responsibilities, and implement systems to maximize efficiency, control costs, and maintain high service standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage daily warehouse operations, including purchasing, receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution of products and supplies.

  • Develop and maintain effective systems for tracking inventory, minimizing loss, and ensuring accurate reporting.

  • Work closely with department heads to forecast and prepare supply needs for events, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

  • Implement cost controls and operational procedures to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and support overall profitability.

  • Provide leadership, training, and scheduling to warehouse staff; monitor performance and foster a positive, team-oriented environment.

  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards, including proper handling and storage of food and beverage products.

  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies, manage orders, and support smooth event execution.

  • Maintain warehouse equipment and vehicles in safe and reliable working condition.

  • Support the organization's goal of 100% customer satisfaction by consistently delivering reliable and high-quality warehouse services.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or appropriate combination of education and experience to support on-the-job effectiveness.

  • Minimum of 2+ years of warehouse management experience within a food and beverage, hospitality, or high-volume operations environment.

  • Proven ability to manage, train, and motivate staff in a fast-paced setting.

  • Strong working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and Health Department requirements.

  • Demonstrated financial acumen, with experience in cost controls, budgeting, and P&L accountability highly desirable.

  • Technologically savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs; experience with inventory management software preferred.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with vendors, clients, and all levels of staff.

  • Self-starter who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and contribute across functional areas of the business.

Other Requirements:

  • Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes, and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver in tightly-quartered environments.

  • Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
