Job Description

Warehouse Manager

About the Role

As the Warehouse Manager, you’ll oversee inventory, shipping and receiving, product staging, facilities, fleet support, safety, and a team of Warehouse Associates, while partnering closely with Field Operations, Production, and Scheduling. Because CLD is a highly seasonal business, this role shifts from lighter, more flexible preparation periods in the spring and summer to a fast-paced peak season from October through January, when additional hours may be required. We're looking for a hands-on leader who can work alongside their team, improve processes, and keep warehouse operations safe, organized, accurate, and efficient.

What You Will Be DOING

  • Warehouse & Inventory Management: Oversee daily warehouse operations, including inventory accuracy, product flow, organization, cleanliness, storage, repairs, refurbishment, and overall warehouse safety.
  • Product Staging & Field Support: Ensure products and equipment are accurately prepared, staged, and loaded for installation and removal crews, minimizing disruptions caused by missing or incorrect materials.
  • Shipping & Receiving: Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, inspect incoming products for accuracy, maintain proper documentation, and coordinate with suppliers and carriers as needed.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead a team of approximately 8–10 Warehouse Associates through hands-on supervision, delegation, coaching, training, and accountability, including hiring and onboarding seasonal employees.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner closely with Field Operations, Production, and Scheduling to anticipate upcoming projects, material needs, inventory requirements, and product-readiness timelines.
  • Fleet, Equipment & Facilities: Support the maintenance and readiness of company vehicles, warehouse equipment, and facilities while ensuring trucks are loaded, unloaded, restocked, fueled, and ready for field crews.
  • Process & Operational Improvement: Develop and improve warehouse processes and systems to increase inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and readiness for peak-season demands.
  • Safety & Seasonal Readiness: Uphold company safety procedures, support safety and equipment training, and lead warehouse preparation throughout seasonal installation and removal periods.

What You Will NEED

  • 3+ years of experience managing a 20,000+ sq. ft. warehouse, including inventory control, warehouse layout, and workflow optimization.
  • Experience leading approximately 8–10 warehouse employees, including delegation, coaching, and performance accountability.
  • Experience with inventory management software and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining safety, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • A hands-on leadership style and willingness to work alongside your team.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours during peak season, including extended days, weekends, nights, and occasional holidays.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent hands-on warehouse leadership experience will be considered.
  • Service-based business experience preferred; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

What You Will GET

  • $65,000–$80,000 annual salary, depending on experience.
  • $5,000–$10,000 annual bonus opportunity.
  • Unlimited PTO.
  • Medical benefits after 30 days.
  • 401(k) with company match eligibility after 90 days.
  • Greater schedule flexibility and lighter workloads during the off-season to balance the demands of peak season.
  • The opportunity to take real ownership of warehouse operations, processes, and team performance.
