Duties, Responsibilities & Other

The Warehouse Manager moves material within the Distribution Center and from the loading platform by carrying, pushing, rolling, or operating hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, motorized conveyors, or other material handling equipment. This role installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit using appropriate hand tools; ensures materials are properly loaded using pallets, trays, racks, and shelves; and conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areas using a hand truck, electric dolly, wheelbarrow, or other devices. The role may occasionally operate an industrial truck or electric hoist to assist with loading or moving materials and products, ensures all identifying tags, labels, or marks are properly attached to materials, cases, bales, or other containers, and maintains accurate records in the appropriate warehouse information system as required by management.

  • Receive incoming inventory and supply items, log items into the company warehouse system, and stock inventory in the proper location.
  • Read work orders and shipping orders, or follow verbal instructions, to fulfill warehouse tasks accurately.
  • Fill customer invoices; check part numbers; clean and pack inventory items.
  • Inspect inventory for defects, scratches, or other damage, and notify Project Managers (PMs) immediately.
  • Follow all company safety and accident procedures while on company premises or operating company vehicles or equipment.
  • Track all inventory in the appropriate warehouse systems.
  • Organize and clean warehouse space and company equipment as needed.
  • Report any customer problems or concerns immediately.
  • Coach fellow associates and other employees on warehouse operational practices and procedures, equipment operation, and safety procedures as needed.
  • Enforce policies and procedures to ensure efficient, effective, and safe warehouse operations.
  • Evaluate current processes and procedures, and recommend changes to management.
  • Contribute ideas for reducing warehouse cost per unit and increasing productivity.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the warehouse data system and perform various tasks within it.
  • Deliver supplies and equipment in a timely manner when requested, observing all DOT and OSHA regulations.
  • Adhere to all driving requirements as determined by state and federal regulations.
  • Keep DOT medical card current and deliver material as needed.
  • Provide and maintain a personal smartphone capable of installing and supporting apps required for customer and KCI support.

Qualifications

Education and/or Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience with a high school diploma/GED or minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Ability to understand construction plans, specifications, and procedures.
  • Possess the ability to read, write, and communicate fluently.
  • Work effectively as a team member
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships with various stakeholders.

Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to maintain required certifications.
