Job Description

Our warehouse is the engine room behind getting Tastes of Chicago products where they need to be — on time, in top condition, every day. We're looking for a Warehouse Manager who thrives on solving problems before they happen, knows how to get the best out of a team, and takes real pride in running a tight, safe, efficient operation.

If you're a hands-on leader who enjoys building teams, improving processes, and leading from the floor while balancing people, operations, and logistics, we'd love to talk with you.

What You'll Own

  • Run the day-to-day. Oversee all warehouse operations and help drive the location's financial and performance goals.
  • Lead the team. Interview, hire, train, and develop team members — then keep them engaged, accountable, and growing.
  • Set the standard. Model and uphold product quality, safety, and service expectations across the warehouse.
  • Manage the numbers. Balance labor to budget, explain variances daily, and help hit income, cost, and sales targets.
  • Keep things stocked and moving. Oversee inventory, purchasing, and receiving, and use warehouse management systems to track it all.
  • Build the schedule. Staff the location efficiently and cost-effectively to match daily business needs.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, high-functioning facility. Supervise repairs and maintenance, address safety concerns, and uphold sanitation standards and certification requirements.
  • Stay flexible. Rotate into other departments (like Production) as needed, and be available for varied hours, including holidays, when the business requires it.
  • Communicate up and down. Give your supervisor timely feedback on service issues or concerns, attend regular team meetings, and delegate effectively when appropriate.

What You Bring

  • 2–3 years of warehouse or distribution center experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree a plus
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and get results through a team
  • Comfort working in computer-based warehouse management systems
  • Strong communication skills with both team members and customers
  • A problem-solver's mindset — especially around conflict resolution and continuous improvement
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; bilingual (Spanish) a plus
  • Willingness to work extended or varied hours, including holidays, as the business demands

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move freely throughout the warehouse, including production and support areas
  • Ability to stand approximately 90% of the workday, with frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and climbing
  • Ability to lift and move goods weighing up to 80 pounds
  • Manual dexterity for warehouse equipment and tools

Why You'll Like It Here

  • Growth path into senior operations/leadership roles
  • Team-first culture with an emphasis on developing people, not just managing them
  • Competitive pay, benefits, and stability with an established, growing brand
  • The chance to make a visible, daily impact on an operation that customers depend on
Lou Malnati's Pizzeria

About Lou Malnati's Pizzeria

Considered the oldest family name in Chicago pizza, Lou Malnati's is as rich in history as its pizza is in flavor.

Lou Malnati got his start in the 1940's working in Chicago's first deep dish pizzeria. He took his pizza expertise to Lincolnwood, a northern suburb of Chicago, where he and his wife Jean opened the first Lou Malnati's Pizzeria on March 17, 1971. Lou was known for his fun-loving character as well as making Chicago's best pizza. Loyal patrons lined the streets on opening day for a taste of his delicious deep dish creations. Lou always thought it was funny that an Italian should open a pizzeria in a Jewish neighborhood on an Irish holiday. But that was Lou's style; he loved all types of people and didn't care much about what people thought.

Today, we have 70+ locations across Illinois, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Indiana. We also ship over a million pizzas a year through our e-commerce business, Tastes of Chicago. Malnati’s success comes from our commitment to quality. Every Lou Malnati’s pizza is handmade from scratch using the finest and freshest ingredients. Every year, the Malnati team hand selects California vine-ripened tomatoes for the perfect sweet and tangy taste. The exclusive sausage blend is seasoned to our exact specifications. The fresh mozzarella cheese comes from the same small dairy that has supplied Lou Malnati’s for over 45 years. And our family’s secret recipe for flaky, buttery crust has been passed down from generation to generation. You’ll know with every bite that each pizza was made with care and special attention.
