Your role and responsibilities

As Warehouse Manager, you will plan, direct, and monitor all activities in the warehouse, developing and managing warehouse operations to effectively control the receipt, storage, picking, and dispatch of products, systems, and services to customers.

Your core responsibilities:

  • Propose and manage the annual warehouse budget and operate within the approved budget
  • Manage warehouse staff activities to optimize resource utilization and determine corrective actions for cost-related issues as necessary
  • Improve warehouse operations through the use of lean practices
  • Plan and optimize warehouse utilization and inventory
  • Plan and monitor the storage, delivery, and dispatch of orders and keep stock control systems up to date
  • Oversee stock control and processes orders
  • Ensure all staff understand ABB's core values and group safety and integrity standards and act accordingly
  • Implement and ensure compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in the assigned area
  • Ensure adherence to all internal and statutory regulations and policies
  • Ensure integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities
  • Be accountable for the health and safety of all employees and contractors, and continuous improvement in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) processes and integrity performance

You will report to the Planning and Fulfillment Manager and lead a warehouse team focused on ensuring efficient, safe, and reliable operations. You will promote and enable collaboration across the division to maximize results for ABB. Your leadership style will inspire, guide, motivate, and develop your team to build effective, competent, and high-performing warehouse operations.

Qualifications for the role

What you bring:

  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling effective communication and stakeholder management
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or logistics. You may have proven track record managing warehouse staff and operations
  • Lean and process improvement experience is advantageous
  • Budget management experience demonstrating financial acumen
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes
  • Ability to work safely and ensure compliance with HSE standards and regulations
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and data accuracy
