The Role:We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse operations and ensure efficient, accurate, and safe handling of inventory and facilities. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who excels at team management, process optimization, and maintaining high standards of inventory accuracy using modern tools like CMMS systems. You will oversee daily warehouse activities while also supervising a small team of property maintenance specialists to keep our facilities in top condition.
Responsibilities and
QualificationsPrimary Responsibilities:
- Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing,
- shipping, and distribution of goods to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Manage and maintain optimal inventory levels within our CMMS system, performing
- regular audits, cycle counts, reconciliations, and reporting to minimize discrepancies,
- stockouts, and overstock.
- Directly supervise 2 Property Maintenance Specialists, including scheduling,
- performance monitoring, training, coaching, and conducting regular team meetings to
- promote productivity and accountability.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes, layout optimizations, and
- standard operating procedures to maximize space utilization and workflow efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards (OSHA, company
- policies, etc.), conducting regular inspections and maintaining a safe working
- environment.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, labor
- productivity, and cost control; prepare reports and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., procurement, operations, finance) to align
- inventory needs, resolve issues, and support overall business goals.
- Manage facility upkeep (in collaboration with property maintenance team), and vendor
- relationships for supplies and services.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, enhance efficiency, and
- control operational costs
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager, Operations Supervisor, or similar role in a warehouse/distribution environment (3+ years preferred but not required).
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and hands-on experience using CMMS systems for tracking and reporting inventory levels.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams, including direct supervisory experience.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations, best practices, and equipment operation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel or Google Sheets ) and familiarity with warehouse management software/tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment (standing, walking, occasional climbing)
