Job Location: Oklahoma City Housing Authority - Oklahoma City, OK 73117
Salary Range: $31,200.00 - $40,622.00 SalarySCOPE:
Performs Central Warehouse activities and minor maintenance duties
ACCOUNTABILITY:
Directly responsible to the Assistant Director of Technical Services.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
- Receive, stock, and issues materials to authorized personnel. Forklift operation required.
- Pick up and deliver special/emergency items.
- Assists supervisor in monitoring warehouse stock levels and entering data into the computer inventory control system.
- Maintains neatness, cleanliness and safety of the warehouse.
- Assists in maintaining warehouse security.
- Maintain inventory of keys, locks, hardware and locksmith tools and equipment.  Rekeys locks and makes new keys.
- Performs basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as replacing wiper blades, topping off windshield washer fluid, inflating tires and jump-starting vehicles.
- Maintains inventory of vehicle-related supplies, tools and equipment.
- Coordinates vehicle drop-off/pick-up logistics with employees and service providers. Works directly with Vehicle Maintenance Administration.
- Perform preventative and basic maintenance and repairs at Central Office and Annex.
- Occasional janitorial duties including ordering and pickup of Janitorial Supplies for COCC and Annex Buildings.
- Obtain appropriate materials/equipment/tools necessary to make repairs.
- Repair/replace door locks.  Replace lighting fixtures and burned-out bulbs.
- Perform exterior grounds maintenance, including debris removal, property upkeep, snow and ice removal, and the application of ice melt and de-icing materials to accessible facilities, parking areas, sidewalks and common areas throughout the year.
- Move, assemble, install and reconfigure office furniture and workspace equipment; assist with office relocations and facilitate setup projects; and ensure all furniture is safely assembled, properly positioned and ready for use in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

QualificationsREQUIREMENTS:
REQUIRED:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Appropriate typing skills and computer experience for inventory entry.
- Strong basic math skills, sound knowledge of the alphabet and ability to accurately read and write numbers.
- General working knowledge of vehicle systems and basic maintenance tasks.
- Ability to use initiative, work independently and communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and maintain confidentiality.
- Must comply with Authority attendance policies.
- Possess a valid Oklahoma Driver License with an acceptable driving record.
- Forklift operator certification.
DESIRED:
- Additional business or vocational school training.
- Bucket Truck Operator certification.
PHYSICAL:
Near vision sufficient to read stock codes, computer generated inventory sheets, forms, and vehicle logs.  Hearing and speech sufficient to communicate effectively in person and by telephone. Strength sufficient to push or pull objects weighing up to 100 lbs.  Stamina sufficient to exert oneself physically throughout the working day.  Ability to lift and place heavy items for extended periods of time.  Flexibility sufficient to bend, twist, or reach out to pick up boxes, equipment, supplies, etc.  Mobility sufficient to continuously move oneself from place to place.  Manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools. Ability to operate a motor vehicle. All physical requirements are evaluated based on the ability to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, under the ADA.

The Oklahoma City Housing Authority (OCHA) exists to fulfill its mission of providing affordable, decent, safe and sanitary housing or housing assistance with quality environments and opportunities to low or fixed income residents of Oklahoma City.

OCHA has several housing programs that assist in fulfilling our mission. OCHA owns and operates 2,920 Public Housing Apartments that are directly subsidized by HUD. In addition to the Public Housing Program, OCHA administers the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program which is also funded by HUD. Our Housing Choice Voucher Program provides 4,696 vouchers used by low-income families to cover a portion of the monthly rent for privately owned apartments or homes. In total, OCHA provides 7,616 units of low-income assisted housing in all areas of Oklahoma City.
