Warehouse Maintenance / Commercial Driver
Location: Cleveland, OH (fully on site)
Salary: $65,000 to $75,000

About the Role

Our client, a specialty construction and controlled environment company based in Cleveland, is looking for a Warehouse Maintenance / Commercial Driver to join their team. This is a dual role combining commercial driving responsibilities with hands on facility maintenance work. The split is approximately 60% driving and 40% warehouse and building upkeep.

What You'll Do

  • Operate a company vehicle to transport products and materials to and from customer locations, vendors, and other company sites
  • Perform pre trip and post trip vehicle inspections and document any defects immediately
  • Maintain accurate driver logs, fuel receipts, and required paperwork
  • Load and unload materials using forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring cargo is properly secured
  • Verify shipping documents and obtain customer signatures upon delivery
  • Communicate proactively with the Warehouse Manager or Dispatch on schedules and delays
  • Follow all local, state, and federal traffic and DOT regulations
  • Perform general facility maintenance including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and drywall repairs
  • Handle painting, floor repair, and general upkeep of the facility interior
  • Maintain outdoor grounds including snow removal, light landscaping, and trash removal
  • Operate and perform preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized
  • Assist with inventory tasks including cycle counting, receiving, stocking, and order prep when not driving
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA standards

What You'll Need

  • Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 to 5 years
  • 2+ years of commercial driving experience
  • 1+ year of general maintenance or handyman experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and general facility maintenance knowledge
  • Ability to operate a forklift (certification preferred or required upon hire)
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to pass a pre employment drug screen and background check, and participate in ongoing random drug and alcohol testing per DOT regulations
  • High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to walk, climb, stoop, crouch, and kneel for extended periods, and sit for extended periods while driving.
