Job Description

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery to ensure efficient quality control, production flow, and minimal downtime.

Shift: Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm

Starting Rate: $20.50 - $22.00/hr

  • Operate and monitor automated machinery in a safe and efficient manner

  • Perform machine set-ups, changeovers, and adjustments as needed

  • Ensure machines are operating efficiently and producing quality products

  • Interface with Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to control and monitor the machine

  • Support troubleshooting efforts by providing detailed feedback on machine issues and upset conditions

  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPS) of equipment

  • Perform basic preventive maintenance on machinery

  • Assist team members during repairs and equipment upgrades

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis activities

  • Provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships through collaboration and timely communication

  • Contribute to a positive team environment by having a team-oriented mindset and supporting others

  • Any other duties as assigned by your supervisor

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an operator on automated machinery preferred

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint within the first 6 months

  • Ability to communicate effectively to employees and management.

  • Must obtain Lift Truck Operator (LTO) license at Rheem

  • Ability to work at heights up to 35 feet
