Job Description

Your Role:

This role supports daily warehouse operations, ensuring the timely and accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. This position requires a dependable, detail‑oriented individual who demonstrates initiative and a strong willingness to learn. The successful candidate will be proactive in maintaining efficient workflows and contributing constructive ideas to improve overall warehouse performance and operational effectiveness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive and accurately process incoming shipments in the ERP system.
• Verify deliveries against packing slips and report any discrepancies promptly.
• Pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders with care and accuracy.
• Generate courier consignment notes and coordinate dispatch.
• Track and trace shipments; liaise with couriers to resolve delivery issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
• Participate in regular stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits.
• Assist in implementing and improving warehouse procedures and systems.
• Support general logistics, order processing, and inventory tasks as required.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma / Higher School Certificate / VCE; Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain role.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Experience with SAP MM and SD modules or similar ERP systems
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Proactive approach to identifying issues and suggesting improvements
• Adaptable and open to learning new systems and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Good numeracy skills for inventory handling and data entry
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment

Prefer:

• Prior involvement in inventory management and stock control preferred
• Experience using SAP or other ERP systems highly regarded

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This job is performed in a shipping/receiving/ warehouse facility within an office building. While generally this job is performed in temperature-controlled facilities, there are occasions in which this position must work outside, in which temperatures may vary. This position deals with temperature-controlled materials in which personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required due to extreme temperatures. Used research/clinical equipment may be handled in this job and strict SOPs and PPE must be worn. All persons performing this job will receive appropriate training prior to engaging in work requiring PPE.
