Summary:
Responsible for the performance and conduct of the warehouse employees. Ensures appropriate employee performance by explaining their duties and responsibilities. Provides training, generates work schedules, and administers guidance when needed. Create and establish procedures to improve performance and work quality. Ensure that proper inventory levels of goods are maintained. Maintain accurate paperwork, documenting weights of inbound goods from the Outlet Store and goods to the Salvage Department. Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment. Must be a hands-on supervisor with forklift experience, preferred.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Train newly hired employees on their job duties.
- Create and enforce work schedules.
- Maintain the proper flow of New Goods from vendors to the Goodwill Stores.
- Prepare and ensure accurate reports of inbound and outbound weights to the salvage department. Maintain invoices and tax documents.
- Generate daily operations reports electronically.
- Perform Monthly safety inspections of premises and safety equipment.
- Completing audits on weights and quantities of production.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Report on needed repairs to buildings, equipment, and machinery.
- Assist in the loading and unloading trucks when needed and circumstances dictate.
- Maintain and enforce floor layouts and staging of goods in the warehouse.
- Complete and provide Monthly Supply orders.
- Take on new tasks and responsibilities as needed or when circumstances dictate.
QualificationsEducation and
Experience:
- A High School Diploma, or GED, is preferred but not required.
- Minimum five (5) years of supervisory or warehouse management experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Miami-Dade County roadways and areas is necessary.
- Computer literate. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations:
- Forklift certification. CDL License is a plus, but not required.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, or hear. Work Environment: The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, high and precarious places, fumes, and airborne particles. Outdoor weather conditions range from 40 to 100 degrees. Able to work in wet, humid, or hot conditions, depending on the weather. Possible exposure to vibration. The noise level in this work environment is usually loud.
