The Role
At Fisher & Paykel, we create moments of delight together in the heart of the home. As a Warehouse Lead, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our distribution center operations run safely, efficiently, and accurately every day.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating warehouse activities, supporting and training team members, and maintaining operational excellence across receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and dispatch functions. You'll serve as a key point of contact on the warehouse floor, helping drive productivity, inventory accuracy, safety performance, and continuous improvement.
Success in this role requires strong operational knowledge, a commitment to safety, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced distribution environment.
You Will
Warehouse Operations & Team Leadership
- Lead daily warehouse activities including receiving, picking, packing, staging, dispatching, and inventory movements.
- Maintain a strong presence on the warehouse floor, providing guidance, support, and direction to warehouse associates.
- Assign daily tasks and priorities to team members to ensure operational goals are achieved.
- Train and coach associates on warehouse processes, equipment usage, and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor workflow and respond quickly to operational challenges and service disruptions.
Inbound, Outbound & Dispatch Coordination
- Coordinate inbound shipments, outbound orders, and truck scheduling activities.
- Allocate unloads, pick lists, and staging requirements to support efficient warehouse operations.
- Ensure all shipping and receiving documentation is accurate and complete, including bills of lading and packing slips.
- Work closely with carriers, drivers, logistics partners, and internal teams to support on-time delivery performance.
- Escalate service issues, transportation delays, and operational risks when necessary.
Inventory Control & Quality
- Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation activities, and inventory investigations.
- Coordinate product returns, quality control processes, and inventory disposition activities.
- Monitor inventory movements and ensure proper storage practices, including FIFO requirements.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist with freight claims and damage reporting processes.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain operational reports and performance metrics related to warehouse activities.
- Monitor warehouse performance against productivity, inventory accuracy, and service KPIs.
- Support process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, and customer experience.
- Assist in developing and maintaining warehouse procedures and documentation.
- Act as a brand ambassador in interactions with customers, carriers, and business partners.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Promote a strong safety culture through visible leadership and active participation in health and safety initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA requirements, and applicable safety regulations.
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and workplace observations.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and hazards, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Support employee training, emergency preparedness activities, and ongoing safety education.
- Participate in site opening and closing activities as required.
You Have
Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, distribution, or supply chain environments.
- Experience leading, training, or coordinating warehouse teams.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards or Oracle.
- Knowledge of inventory control, shipping, receiving, and warehouse processes.
- Experience working with freight carriers and transportation coordination preferred.
- Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
- Working knowledge of warehouse management systems and RF technology.
- Understanding of OSHA requirements, warehouse safety practices, and material handling equipment.
- Ability to identify issues, solve problems, and make sound operational decisions.

The base salary range for this position is $22.31 - $27.00/hr. This range is a guideline and may not reflect your exact offer. Factors considered when extending an offer include (but are not limited to) education, experience, relevant skills, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
